standing her ground

nowadays if zoe doesn't want to go to sleep she'll stand in her cot and let you know about it....very amusing the first few times you experience it however by now not so much any more. no disrespect to the cot designers, but i'm forever fearful she'll learn to jump before she walks and she'll trampoline her way outa there! no fear though, we have lowered the cot since this shot.

sand

zoe touched her first aussie sand, actually it was glama tamarama sand! what surprised us was that she didn't want to eat it. she just repeatedly picked it up and let it fall between her fingers while a stern, concentrated frown took over her face.

reaching high

zoe is really good at slithering over the floor by now, but I was pretty shocked when, in front of the box that was supposed to block her way out into the garden, she all of a sudden pulled herself up on her legs and leaned against that box. I think she surprised herself with that new view on things because she didn´t last long on two legs, quickly toppling over to her left, and unfortunately clonking her head on the door. there were tears. but that first semi successful experience hasn´t prevented her from reaching up whenever she can.
